The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has initiated an immediate review of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) following a surge of complaints from candidates and parents nationwide.
In a statement released by its Public Communication Advisor, Fabian Benjamin, JAMB acknowledged receiving an “unusual volume of complaints” after the release of results last Friday. Allegations include technical glitches, incomplete questions, and unexpectedly low scores.
The Board said it had fast-tracked its annual post-examination audit, which normally takes place months after the UTME. Particular attention, it noted, is being paid to complaints from specific states, which are being scrutinized to detect any possible systemic issues.
